What Does Looking After Your Health Look Like?

When people often think about getting ‘healthy’, they generally firstly think about their weight. 
 
In my opinion, it should never be just about weight loss or aesthetics. Health in the form of keeping yourself well,  should be the no 1 priority. Often when we look after the health, weight loss naturally follows.
 
So what is healthy?
 
I break it down into 3 parts
 
 
1. Nutrition
2. Exercise
3. Stress management/ mindset
 
1. Nutrition
Having a plan that is specific to you, not just following a diet trend or restricting yourself with food. Knowing which foods cause you bloating and know what is lacking from your diet to have optimum energy and brain clarity.
 
2. Exercise
Having a plan that is right for your specific needs and for women, working it around the cycle to take advantage of high/low energies.
 
3. Stress Management
This is something many forget to deal with and it’s the biggest contributor to illness in the modern world. If you have any stress in your life you need to have strategies in place to be able to deal with that. Again, it’s an individual thing, find out what relaxes you or takes you away from your stress for at least 5 minutes a day.
