Big Energy Savings Week

Big Energy Saving Week 18-24 January 2021

Big Energy Saving Week runs from 18 to 24 January. It is a national campaign to help people cut their fuel bills and get all the financial support they are entitled to.

The week focuses on raising public awareness of how to switch energy supplier or tariff to get the best deal, access discounts and make homes energy efficient. This is the 8th Big Energy Saving Week and is a partnership between Citizens Advice, the Energy Saving Trust and the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with the support of numerous organisations, charities and companies.

Energy prices are set to rise with most providers because of a rebound in wholesale gas and electricity prices. The energy regulator is preparing to update the level of the price cap that limits how much suppliers can charge customers, possibly bringing it back up to the level of previous summers.

But not all providers are rising to the new cap. With another lockdown announced, the whole nation needs all the help it can get to save more money. Utility Warehouse are the cheapest choice right now. Their market-beating energy price is the result of their January offer; £100 Switch and Save gives new energy customers £50, and an additional £50 for taking their smart meter. Plus, if they take the other services UW offers, they’ll get their green tariff of 100% renewable electricity and automatically help the environment. And that doesn’t even factor in savings made with their free LED light bulb service, too.

UW are the UK’s most trusted multi-service provider, offering all or a combination of gas, electricity, landline, broadband and mobile phone services. They are multiple Which? Magazine award winners, with the most recent awards being Recommended Broadband Provider 2020, Recommended Mobile Provider 2020, and the biggest accolade of all – Utilities Brand Of  The Year Winner 2020.
